ICDL Arabia has been honored by the Ministry of Interior (Child Protection Centre) during an event organised to recognise individual and institutional endeavors towards the safety of children. The organization has taken on Cyber Safety as an integral part of its mission and was presented with a plaque in appreciation for exhibiting outstanding efforts in spreading awareness about cyber safety among the youth.  ICDL Arabia is launching an all-out campaign to conquer the outbreak of fake ICDL certificates in Egypt and issued an advisory to all Egyptian ministries, universities and employers in the public and private sectors about fake certificates illegally being promoted and sold through fraudulent websites and Facebook pages, targeting individuals wanting the certificate without having to sit for the official tests. More

  ICDL Arabia, has received a ‘Best Practice Award’ during ECDL Foundation’s Forum 2015, held recently in Warsaw, Poland. Jamil Ezzo, Director General of ICDL Arabia, received the award at the Forum which was attended by ICT professionals from over 100 countries. Dubai Police’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in cooperation with ICDL Arabia, and the National Institute of Vocational Training (NIVE), an initiative of the Dubai Government’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has adopted the new structure and modules of ICDL certificate. The cooperation agreement was signed by Colonel Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Police’s TSA and Jamil Ezzo, Director General, ICDL Arabia. More

 Cairo University has signed a three-year agreement with ICDL Arabia, to enhance students’ digital proficiency in a bid to align their skills with today’s job market demands. Under the terms of the agreement, university students will receive funding assistance worth USD $300,000 to improve their ICT skills and help them obtain their ICDL certificate. More

Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population (National Information Center for Health Information Technology and Statistics) and ICDL Arabia, have signed a three year protocol to empower the ministry’s healthcare workers across Egypt with relevant ICT skills. The protocol was signed by Professor Dr. Hanaa Amer, Assistant Minister for Technical Support and Development at Ministry of Health and Jamil Ezzo, Director General of ICDL Arabia, in the presence of Eng. Tareq Badr, Assistant to the Minister of Planning Coordinator for the Development of Information Technology at Ministry of Health and Inas Badr, Head of Health IT and Statistics Training Centres.  According to a recent study, the GCC’s education sector is set to increase the use of ‘smart’ devices for teaching and learning purposes to 100 percent by 2017. ICDL Arabia, the governing body and certification authority for the ICDL certificate program in Egypt, GCC States and Iraq, has welcomed this move, stating that the increased use of information and communications technology (ICT) will help in delivering quality education and raising the bar in line with international standards. ICDL Arabia, has announced its plans to certify more than 40,000 candidates in IT Security in the GCC.
Taking the drive for IT security further, ICDL Arabia is carrying out this initiative in collaboration with concerned authorities within education, ICT policymakers and law enforcement across the GCC region. More

Deutsche Bank and ICDL Arabia, have joined forces to provide 25 underprivileged and orphan children from Doha with the much needed and highly valuable digital skills. The young beneficiaries will undergo comprehensive training in Doha’s Hi Tech Training Center and receive the ICDL certificate for Base Profile upon completion of the module. The candidates registered on December 28, 2014 and the 4-week training program will commence in February 2015. More
