Overview  

The ICDL Academic Certificate Programme is a qualification recognised by ministries of education in the region. The syllabus and programme content has been designed with input from experts in education with the aim of enabling students to acquire the latest digital skills required for effective studies and to keep them safe while online.

This certificate programme has 10 subjects to select from which are delivered through eLearning. These enables self-study to fit within any schedule and when ready there is the option to take up to 10 exams through the remote testing platform to obtain the ICDL Academic Certificate.

You will be provided with 24/7 access to the ICDL eLearning platform for a period of 4 years, allowing you to learn at a time and pace that suits you and from any location, so whether you are at home, or in a vacation destination take advantage of the summer period and the special offer.   Computer Essentials This module sets out essential concepts and skills relating to the use of devices, file creation and management, networks, and data security. Learn more   
  Online Essentials This module sets out essential concepts and skills relating to web browsing, effective information search, online communication and e-mail. Learn more   
  Cyber Safety This module provides candidates with the skills and knowledge required to operate safely with computers and a range of mobile devices and to be aware of online threats. Candidates will recognise the need to safeguard personal information on computers and mobile devices and will recognise the threats posed by Internet criminals and scams. Learn more   
  Word Processing This module allows candidates to demonstrate the ability to use a word processing application to accomplish everyday tasks associated with creating, formatting, and finishing small-sized word processing documents, such as letters and other everyday documents. Learn more   
  Presentation This module allows candidates to understand the concept of presentations and to demonstrate competence in using presentation software. Learn more   
  Online Collaboration This module sets out concepts and skills relating to the setup and use of online collaborative tools, such as storage, productivity applications, calendars, social media, web meetings, learning environments, and mobile technology. Learn more   
  Spreadsheets This module allows candidates to understand the concept of spreadsheets and to demonstrate an ability to use a spreadsheet to produce accurate work outputs. Learn more   
  IT Security This module allows candidates to understand the main concepts underlying the secure use of ICT in daily life and to use relevant techniques and applications to maintain a secure network connection, use the Internet safely and securely, and manage data and information appropriately.   Project Planning This module enables candidates to use project management software to prepare project plans and monitor projects, including planning and managing time, costs, tasks, and resources. Learn more   
  Digital Marketing This module sets out essential concepts and skills relating to the fundamentals of digital marketing, including creating a web presence, optimising content for search engines, using social media platforms, carrying out online marketing and advertising across a range of services, as well as monitoring and improving campaigns using analytics.
